Steven's a New York native with an East Coast work ethic. Heavily influenced by his roots, he thrives on incredibly creative projects with tight deadlines. He’s a 2002 graduate of The Art Institute of Philadelphia (Graphic Design) and a 2006 graduate of The Art Institute of California, San Diego (Advertising). Both degrees helped him use his childhood-inspired imagination and ambition in an industry where he can continually strive for great achievement with each project.
As a young boy Steven fell in love with sports -- especially with collecting trading cards. He also felt a love for posters and cartoons, which inspired him as a child to draw letter forms. Years later, these passionate hobbies translated into type design, which Steven would come to see as his favorite part of the creative process.
His love for art continued to grow in high school. He took as many art classes as he could, inspired by three amazingly wonderful women in his life: his great-grandmother, adopted grandmother, and art teacher, all of whom inspired him and kindled the brilliant fire that fueled the beginning of his adventure to Philly.
Attending art school in Philadelphia, Steven spent four years honing in his skills. From there, he relocated to San Diego where he discovered a West Coast style of design much different from his impression of art in the East. In recent years, Steven developed the application of graphic design into advertising by incorporating concept, typography, and a wonderfully fresh approach for art direction.
Presently in Los Angeles, his work consists of entertainment, poster design, logos, branding, and consulting. Steven has collaborated and networked with industry professionals, artists, musicians, and nonprofit organizations from different walks of life, and he brings a true passion for design defined by a culmination of both his East Coast roots and his experiences on the West Coast.
Steven’s style is versatile with both an urban and a contemporary appeal. Prime examples of his collaborative work depend on the client’s focus and brand preferences. With Steven's initiative in speaking with clients and concentrating on their needs first, he's ahead of the game in understanding that passion and working true to one’s roots is what moves a project forward both in design and in business.
